How to Cam on Chaturbate

Understanding the ins and outs of webcamming can seem intimidating so I put together a list of tips to help a novice cam girl or boy. I've been camming on Chaturbate since 2018 with my girlfriend, Casey Kisses. We've amassed crowds of thousands in our shows with our highest viewed show being 32,000 live viewers. Chaturbate is our preferred place to cam due to its diversity, traffic and user friendly features. I began solo camming this year and have learned many things through my own trial and error.

#1 Understand the platform you're camming on. It's very important to read through the terms of service of any platform you decide to use as a content creator to ensure you abide by them. You can find Chaturbate's TOS here.

#2 Understand the website's token currency. As someone who will hopefully be using Chaturbate's platform frequently it's essential you understand the conversion from tokens to cash. Tokens convert to cash at a rate of $0.05 each. To cash out your tokens and get paid, go to the "Broadcast Yourself" page and click "Token Stats," there you’ll see a link to “Transfer tokens to cash.” Once your tokens are converted, the payout will be processed according to your selections here: https://www.chaturbate.com/affiliates/payoutinfo/

#3 Get your equipment in order. Basic three point lighting (or natural light) and a webcam that shoots in HD will suffice for a beginner. I stream using a Sony A6000 with a capture card and dummy battery. I use an external microphone for sound (Blue Yeti) and ambient lighting. (See photo below). You can also get a little taste of what I do in my cam shows below. Everyone's streaming style is different so find what works for you. The most important thing is to make sure you have a high speed internet connection and are hard wired by an ethernet cable to prevent the stream from causing issues. #4 Understand the username colors. The color of usernames in chat indicates the user status or how many tokens they have tipped:

• Orange names are broadcasters

• Red names are moderators

• Green names are fan club members

• Dark Purple names have tipped at least 1000 tokens in the past 2 weeks

• Light Purple names have tipped at least 250 tokens in the past 2 weeks

• Dark Blue names have tipped at least 50 tokens in the past 2 weeks

• Light Blue names own or have purchased tokens

• Grey names have no tokens 

#5 Utilize Apps & Bots! My show runs on a few different apps and bots and depending how you want to structure your show the apps and bots you use will vary. Apps & Bots are created by other community members and allow broadcasters to customize their chat room experience. You can set goals, automate chat notices with your room rules or tip menu, play games with your viewers, automatically moderate chat, and much more! #6 Get some interactive toys! Interactive toys are sex toys that you can connect to your chat and will vibrate when a viewer tips. I personally use the Lovense Lush 3 in my shows because it's interactive for the user and makes my shows go by quickly. Other popular toys used on Chaturbate include Ohmibod and We-Vibe.

The most important tip of them all is to have fun and be yourself. The beauty of being on Chaturbate is that it personally makes me feel more confident, sexy and motivated to make a living for myself in the comfort and privacy of my own home.
